Hair pins or not?

Hey ladies,
I was looking at some half up hairstyles and I think that's what I want for the big day. I'm wearing a tiara. Do you think adding hair pins to my hair will be too much? If you see any brides w/ half up hairstyles and pins please post.... thanks!
