Hey - I just saw that you are planning long-distance too. How's it going for you? How have you been able to get out to visit vendors (or haven't you?). I'm at least close enough to make a 7 hour drive if necessary (ugh) -- but I'm finding it kinda rough. This site has been so helpful to combat that.

I'm wearing it completely up ... while I typically like it down, I just know my hair will get too frizzy down for a summer wedding!

I went for a trial on Monday, have no pics yet ...

But my updo is gonna look something like this, without the hairpins:

I was home for 6 months before I moved so I tried to get all of my major vendors done before I left.
My vendors have been really great about working with my schedule.
I try to cram everything in the weekends I know I am in NY. I am going to be there 3 more times before the wedding. Hopefully I will get it done
Where are you planning from?

I have no idea what I'm going to do. I have thick, pretty wavy/curly hair that can be blown very straight for a very different look. My FH LOVES it when it's straight (it's my 'fancy' hair), and so do pretty much everyone else related to me, BUT, I'm getting married on the beach in August, and I'm thinking to go straight will require my hair to be shellacked to my head like a Ken doll's. . . which is making me think twice about that plan.

I love all these updo pics tho... so pretty!

Half-up, half-down. I don't like the way I look with my hair all the way up. And I don't like fancy hair-do's on me either. Plus, I'm wearing my veil all night so nobody will even see much of my hair!

I'm also a long distance bride. I'll probably only go home twice before the wedding

I was debating betweent half up half down or just all up. Someone posted this pic and I loved it. I think its just so elegant. Thank you whoever posted this hair pic!

This is my trial - it will be a little different. The ends in the back will not be pinned (I wanted it more free & fun) and I'm not thrilled with the look from the front, so we have to play with that ...

Here is just a back and side shot from my trial ... the front pic didn't come out (sorry) but I am not pulling it all off my face. I'll have side swept bangs (like the pic I posted above ...)
