Don't wash your hair the day of the wedding-if it's a little dirty, the curls tend to stay a little better.

i used extensions and wore my hair mostly down as well, pics in my album... i dropped the extensions off to my stylist a few days prior. she set them in pin curls and sprayed them 2 days prior then left them for 2 days. the curls stayed all night... i had been worried because after my trial, they drooped in an hour, but setting them for so long definitely made all the difference.

My hairstylist did the exact same thing and the extensions held the curls all night! She actually pinned them to a manikin head that she took along the day of and only took them off right as she was pinning them into my own hair. When I first saw her walking in to my room with a manikin it was a little strange, but it worked!

When you use a curling iron, hold it upside down behind your head. Don't open the clip thing, just wrap your hair around it, as much as you can. When you are down curling, pull the curling iron up and let the curl fall down. It gives your curls a more natural look and less of a ribbon-effect. I hope this wasn't too confusing!! A little spritz of hairspray helps too!

they curl it with a curling iron, then wrap the curl up and secure it with a bobby pin, so it's just one loop and not hanging down. that's how my hair girl secured the curls in my extensions for 2 days, then when she took the bobby pin out, the curl fell out how it should - but it stayed for much longer than it would have, if she just curled it and left it. it's so that the weight isn't dragging it down, instead the curl is really setting. does that make sense?
