Can anyone give me an opinion on the following: The morning of my wedding (we have to be ready at 9:30a) - it will be me, my MOH, my bridesmaid and my mother who all will need hair & make up done. Do I pay for the whole shebang? If not, what do I pay for? Obviously my own but what about everyone else? I sort of feel like I should be paying for it all since they are doing this for my wedding but that can be pretty costly by the time you finish with updos make up and tips. Still I dont want to be cheap (I mean at this point, I've already spent so much money on this one day...)any thoughts? Unfortunately we are having a Fri Night( a lot of out of state guests/bridal party) so that def does add to it--but at least not at this place

Hair Question
THis is completely up to you and what you can afford. I have been in a few weddings and have always paid for my own hair and makeup to be done. As for my bridesmaids I am buying them a present given to them at the rehearsal and we are spending the day before the wedding at a spa-- so their hair and makeup will be on their own

Hair Question
Yes it does help. I was going to pay for my mother because she's my mom and then his niece (the bridesmaid), I figured that his sister was already shelling out a few bucks for her daughter and 2 sons to be in the wedding party and then, if Im paying for them, I should pay for the MOH....It's just good to know what other people have done or are doing. Maybe I'll pay for 1 of their services... As for my bridesmaids I am buying them a present given to them at the rehearsal and we are spending the day before the wedding at a spa-- so their hair and makeup will be on their own

Hair Question
I was just in a wedding where the bride paid for the hair and we paid for make-up. It worked out very well. Be careful of who you use for makeup. They can REALLY overcharge you. The girl who did ours charged more that the girl at the professional day-spa I went to last year!
Never went on the waterslides (fear of heights)...lol. They are incredible though! I don't think you would run into too many spring breakers there, its too expensive, and more family oriented. There are lots of fun and romantic things to do there, and the restaurants are awesome! We were actually considering going there for our honeymoon, but since I have been there 7 times, my fiance wanted to go somewhere that would be new to both of us.
I'm just starting on the planning for a wedding sometime next September- HELP! I'm excited, but scared. Any tips on keeping a wedding for 100-150 (in Nassau County) under 10 thou? Any advice is greatly appreciated-- especially on reception halls- where can I find a nice place for a great price?
