The few times I've had an updo done at a salon for a prom, they always told me not to wash my hair the day of the appointment. Does this go for wedding hair as well? How about if you want your hair half up, half down? Thanks!

I washed my hair and it still came out AWESOME! You should know your hair and how it is when you don't wash it. A good hairdresser can do it either way

I washed mine the night before & then went to sleep. It got a chance to build up some of the natural oils, but still *smelled* clean
