Hair question

So I am growing out my hair for the wedding and it is driving me crazy I must say because I don't know what to do with it on a daily basis. Anyway, my questions is do I keep growing it out up until the wedding day so my hairdresser has a lot of hair to work with? Or should I get it cut about a month before so it is a little more manageable? Is the job of the hairdresser on the day of the wedding to just style it or does she cut and style it? If I don't get it cut will it be too unmanageable for her to style it? If I do get it cut how much should I get cut? As you can see I am a little confused. Suggestions anyone?

Re: Hair question

On the day, they only style it... i was told to come in with my hear already washed... she recommended the stay before.. otherwise the conditioner or whatever is too 'slick' and doesn't hold the style as well.

i would let your hair grow and then about month before your wedding, get a trim to get rid of any dead ends...

Re: Hair question

I suggest you get a trim a few weeks before the wedding so your hair is healthy.
Wash it the day before the wedding, they say not to do it the day of because it won't hold the style as well.
On the day of the wedding, they will just style it for you.

I think you should ask your hair dresser when you go for the trial, she'll know your hair and the hairstyle you are wearing the best.

Re: Hair question

You can go to your regular hairstylist and tell her/him that you are getting married and that you want to let your hair grow out so you have more options for a style for the wedding. He/She will be able to tell you what they recommend. They may say to trim it or they may just say to let it grow and then trim it a few weeks before the big day.

Re: Hair question

THEY just style it plus they always recommend to get a cut at least a week before the wedding, and they actually say 2 weeks is better. I am getting clip on extensions the day of, so i dont have to worry about this. Maybe this would be a good option fo ryou

Re: Hair question

the only thing i will say, is if u have a good hairdresser there is no harm in going to have it 'cleaned up' while keeping the length. Getting it trimmed and shaped is super important.....for one, it'll actually get rejuevenated & grow faster, AND if u ONLY just let it grow up intill ur wedding day - it could end up with a million split ends and fly-aways from not being kept up with or taken care of! I grew mine out & throughout the entire process my hairstylist would keep it in shape..i'd let it grow till i couldn't take it anymore, then get it shaped, then let it grow - & so on. And i'm tellin' ya..u will be AMAZED at how much it'll grow just from getting a trim! good luck!
