Hair Question

I have been thinking about doing a down hair style for my ceremony and pictures and then having it put up once I arrive at Jericho Terrace so that it can be out of my face at the reception when dancing. etc. It's really something that I want to do. Just wondering if anyone out there has done this, who they used, was it hard to find someone to do one in the morning and then come back to another location later on, and how much, am I paying just for two hairstyles or is there a larger fee to reserve for the day I guess. I'm thinking if say I used Jenn the Hair Genie who has a minimum anyway which means she prob only does one wedding a day, that it shouldn't be too hard to have her do both for me. But what do I really know, that's why I need some advice please!

Ya I was hoping to have someone just do two separate ones instead of staying the whole day because I really wouldn't need her again until I arrive at the reception hall at like 7. Hopefully someone would do that but maybe not. I'll contact Jenn the Hair Genie. Because I feel like with M*I*A she does more than one wedding in a day so I'd def have to pay a full day fee I'd assume. We'll thanks for the help so far, keep it coming if anyone has done what I hope to do, thanks! :)

depends where they are from the RH. I know my hairstylist just for example lives in manhattan and for her to come to me i had to pay travel feels which was roundtrip cab fare, so in a situation like this, she wouldnt go back home and then back to LI and if she did she would even charge extra again for the cab. What time is your ceremony?

That's true that makes sense. My ceremony is currently scheduled for 3:30, but I'm hoping to move it up to 3. Then the cocktail hour starts at 7, which I feel like we may get back there at that time from pics. To me as crazy as it sounds, I'd rather miss the cocktail hour if it means I can change my hair bc it's really what I want to do and then I can walk in all fresh and different haha.

so up until what time around will your hair person be at your house until, im gonna guess about 2-2:30 if lets say youre leaving your house around 3pm. Hmmmm if they live close might work out and you can use the same person. Bc for them to leave your house lets say around 2:30pm or maybe close to 3pm, and be by you at 7pm, well they have to leave their house earlier than that to get to you. And if they leave you around 3pm by the time they get home lets say its 3:30-4pm and they would have to leave again at 6, so for them they'd get home and have to leave again in 2 hours. ALso to tell you the truth, for them to come back to you they might just charge you the same amount they charge for their whole day price since they have to travel to you 2 separate times and do 2 separate hairstyles. So figure out what the prices would be if somebody is willing to do this bc in the end might be worth it to hire them for all day then.

My hairstylist did my hair at 5 in the morning (she finished me and the girls at 11AM), and then came to the Hall for fix ups at 4PM. She charged me an extra $100 to return.

Oh my gosh that is amazing. Do you have any contact info, does the hairstylist normally do that or was it just for you? I feel like if I make my ceremony at 3, I'd want her to be done with us around 2. So that would be a 5 hour difference between coming back to the hall at 7. Oh thank you so much for responding, I would love to look into whoever you used.
