Re: Hair Removal

I dont know about laser removal-but have you tried the home waxing kits? The Sally Hansen ones are pretty good and last a long time.

I have never had it done but a friend of mine has gotten laser hair removal on her legs. I know she said it came be a little painful at times but overall I believe she is happy with the results.

This is where she went:

Yeah, i've been going for laser treatments on my legs and underarms for a while now ... depending on how stubborn your hair is, it takes about 2 treatments before you see any difference ... and then about 5 or 6 of them for all the hair to go.

Of course, my hair is VERY stubborn so i've gone for many more than 6 treatments and still have some underarm hair (but most is gone).

it does hurt a little bit, but nothing unbearable .... and it's over SO fast.

American Laser Centers are VERY expensive these days.

This is something I'd like to know also. I'm in the same boat, but just haven't had time to research it much. However, I do remember prices not being too expensive for the chin. I guess because it's a smaller area.

My skin didn't change---I went through brazilian bikini laser treatment 2 years ago and unfortunately it grew back some

I went to Completely Bare spa on the UES, way too expensive so I now do touch ups at Skin Spa in Midtown.

I hope chin has better results than Bikini!

Re: Hair Removal

I'm planning to eventually get laser hair removal...it's just too expensive before the wedding.

I think it's a few thousand for the whole thing...here is some advice though if you don't want to pay for that before the wedding:

Buy Surgi cream.(there's a few .it comes with 2 containers. I wouldn't recommend using the big tube, it stings me. I just throw that out... But after you get rid of the hair, put the lotion in the little tube on it. It keeps the chair from growing back for a bearable amount of time, and it DOES retard hair growth. I've been using it for awhile, and the hair is not completely gone for any means, but it really does help, so that I'm not a hairy beast by 5PM.

I have done full face, bikini, underarms and legs. The face is stubborn as hell...I did 6 treatments 5 yrs ago and they still grow but less now. I did legs, bikini and ams about 2 yrs ago and my legs are so much better with only 3 treatments underarm and bikini is better but not great. Face I did 3 additional ones and now I am doing 3 more...it gets better but with hormones the hair just keeps coming but less and less...I go to vada spa in the city and you can get full face laser for $99.

Nair does the job too.
