Hair removal ... bikini area

I cant believe I am postiing this but I need opinions. I can't ever shave or use nair without getting a rash and its gross. Dont want that for the honeymoon! I could never walk out on the beach like that.

Anyone try waxing or laser removal? Whats the pain like? Chances of a rash?? HELP!

I have the exact same problem as you! It's painful and embarrasing. I have yet to try any methods other then shaving. Please let me know if you discover anything that works!

Everyone is different, however bikini waxing for me is SOOO painful. It only lasts a few minutes but the anticipation of the pain is almost worse. With that said, I love the results and do it before vacations and whenever else I can.

Also, the more you do it, the less painful it gets...so they say!

So not true! It hurts every freakin time

But it is soo worth it! I also think the anticipation is worse than anything. The pain only lasts a few seconds and the results are great. You have to be careful with ingrown hair but if you exfoliate and make sure you catch any ingrowns before they become a problem you'll be fine!

for me, waxing leaves me hairless for five minutes before i start getting stubble again. what i have found to work is a beard and mustache trimmer. the steel doesn't bother my skin as much. and keep the area moisterized.

Wax- it hurts like hell but it's brief enough & the end result is great!!!
It's just like ripping off a Band-Aid -hehe.

Wax for me too. Take some Advil about a half hour before you go.

Laser! Without a doubt - the best decision I ever, ever made.
I saw results after the first session. Didn't have to do anything else for at least a month. Since hair grows in cycles, you will need more than one treatment, but the results are fabulous! And not painful at all - it's a little sting initially, but totally bearable and the whole procedure is over in literally 5 minutes.

If anyone is interested, I can post the name of who I go to - they are in Garden City by Nassau Community College.

I wax as well. You get used to the pain once you go often enough. The end result is so worth it!

WAX!! It is truly amazing. I go once a month to a woman in Hicksville. Actually found out about her on here, she is a relative of one of the posters. I had wanted to do it before the honeymoon and I have to tell you, she is great! Hardly any pain at all, she uses special herbal waxes to reduce the pain. If you need more info FM me.

yep! I haven't shaved my bikini area since I had laser done. Like I said, it takes more than 1 treatment since hair grows in cycles, but I haven't shaved my bikini line in at least a year. And if I notice anything, I can schedule a 'clean-up' appointment.

Re: Hair removal ... bikini area

I don’t wax my bikini area but I heard it hurts every time. I wax my legs and each time gets easier and easier. I had laser hair removal for my bikini area. They say you should go between 4-6 times to see a major result. I went to 3 sessions (plan on going back soon for the rest). The first one hurt like crazy when it on the bottom area. The 2nd and 3rd time was better the doctor gave me a gel to put on an hour before the procedure to numb the area, so I was in less pain the last two times. I did see less hair grow but as i said you need between 4-6 depending on how thick the hair is. I got a little red rash which went away in about an hour or two but that depends to. hope this could help.
