Hair Salon rec's please (not for wedding...just for now)
I have the itch to get my hair done...and when I get that way I need to do it now lol. I don't want to go to my usual girl because I feel like she might leave on the stuff too long because the last 2 times I went there I had hair fall out (more than the normal) and it freaked me out! I just want more blonde highlights...any rec's please? Thanks!

Ugh I would love to Kim but that is a little too far...I'm kind of crunched for time
The price really doesn't matter as long as they do a good job...but I'd rather not go in and spend $250 on highlights

Ooh ok!
Well, I go to a place called TwoDo - its on the upper west side (82nd between Broadway and Amsterdam).
They are AWESOME. They were the hair/makeup people for an episode or two of a Makeover Story (on TLC)! And the best part, is that they aren't THAT expensive.

Haircut: use Sasha - SHE ROCKS! Coloring: Megan - if you can. She's the owner and is amazing!
Its such a cool laid back place. Check out the website!

I don't know if this is too far for you but there's one called Personalities in Oakdale on Montauk Hwy. They do a good job and they're not too expensive. I got a cut and highlights there for like $120.00 and they came out very nice.

I go to Self Image in Amityville. It's right off Merrick Road and it's a great place with nice people. Ask for Michelle - she's fabulous. Highlights are $110 and a cut and blowout is $40. Do it together because they don't blow your hair if you just get it highlighted.
Good luck!

Two Stephen St. or Cactus in Syosset--both really good Nubest too (a bit pricey though)

Sorry to crash your board but I go to Nouvelle Salon on Merrick Rd in Massapequa. Veronica does my hair and always does a great job! Hope this helps!
