Can anyone reccomend a good hair salon in Queens and a good stylist there? TIA

A great place is Christies in Bay Terrace (Bayside Area) They are kind of expensive, but wonderful!! I recommend Maria- She's amazing and quick. They also do make-up really well and they have airbrush makeup, which is good.

I used to go to Christie’s but my hairdresser left and opened her own salon . She is sooo sweet and is GREAT!!! I have never gotten a bad cut or color with her!

I know Bella and she's good too. I didn't know that was her shop on station road, that's like 4 blocks from my house and i pass it everyday on the way to the train. =) Now I have a backup! yeay!

Yes that is Bella's place. i LOVE her!!!! I have been going to her for years! I was sooo ahppy when she opened her own place and left Christie's.

I'm in Astoria so you're probably not looking for that. There's a couple of girls on the 08 board who live in Forest Hills so maybe post there if nothing works out here.

Oh wow! That's like 4 blocks from me! I was looking for a good hair person and wasn't sure since I just moved to the area.

A bunch of people on Citysearch seem to like SPAce Salon in Astoria. I've been there a couple times and have been satisfied...I didn't think it was the best cut I've ever gotten, but between the $100 haircut that I got in Manhattan and the $35 cut I got at SPAce there really was no difference. I guess I'm easy to please, but for $35 you could give them a try!!!

i second this but i dont think they're expensive at least not what i got. I went for make up it was $30 for regular make up and $60 for airbrush and i had my hair done for epics they curled it and it was $40
