hair suggestions

I always wanted something like fran had from the nanny:


but now i think its too big and maybe a little too plain.

I want my hair all up... but if I dont like it then I'm doing half up half down.
I do want height and nothing flat... but I also want something sleek and elegant- and I want to WOW people.

so ladies- please post pictures of your day of hair or pictures you find that might help me.

what about julia robert's hair at the 2000 oscars? i don't love the bottom portion of it, but you could do the top part.
