I went for a hair trial on Friday and I am a little dissapointed. Do they typically try a couple of different styles or do you have to pick one and then they do it. I understand if they had to try more than one style not to finish it completely but the person I went to charged $100 for one hairstyle trial and then did not even finish the job. I was just wondering what everybody elses experience was.

Re: hair trail question
they can usually do 2 maybe 3 different styles. i think charging you $100 for just one that wasn't finished was VERY excessive!!!
i paid $70 and it just so happened i knew what style i wanted, and she did it perfectly. but i know she would've done at least one more! i'm sorry you experienced this.

Re: hair trail question
I paid $50 for my trials and she tried two different things, but I ended up scheduling another trial (another $50) because I wanted something completely different. I originally wanted a chiffon/bun but then changed two weeks before my wedding to half up/half down. Mya from Cosmetic Artistry, she was great!!

Re: hair trail question
I paid $50 for a hair trial. We did 3-4 different styles. I got my veil afterwards and the style didn't work with it, so I went back and we tried a bunch more styles with the veil. No add'l charge for the second trial because I had already booked her. FM me for her name and phone number.

Re: hair trail question
$50 or $100 for incomplete hairstyles is a bit much. However, I do know exactly how you feel. I had the same experience with someone. It's like being robbed. when I think about it sometimes, I'm surprised I just didn't kick her out of my home.
I'm still looking for a hair person as well. I may end up using someone locally and having to go to her instead of her coming to me. We'll see what happens.

Re: hair trail question
I had 2 hair trials. One was $75 and she did one style and it was unfinished looking. I was very disappointed.
My second hair trial was fabulous. She tried 3 different looks and since we were at her house she only charged me $75 as well. All 3 looks were finished. She also had books for recommendations. I ended up with something completely different than what we tried at the trials and she did that beautifully as well.
Her name is Kim and her number is 631-226-. 7159. I highly recommend her.
