I had my first hair trial this Saturday....long story short it was horrible. The stylist was such a nice person though but we were not on the same wavelength - i showed her pictures of what i wanted and told her what i wanted and she didn't do anything even remotely similar, realizing how dissapointed i was she tried several different styles, still nothing similar to what i wanted. The more styles she tried the more hairspray she used and eventually you couldnt even run your fingers through my hair let alone comb it.
So now I'm out $50 and need a haircut and new hairstyle since my hair won't hold the curls I wanted.
Can anyone recommend a stylist?
Should I give the nice woman a second chance or should i take my business elsewhere?
Thank you girls!
I would love any pictures you could post of your styles to!!!

Keep looking around. Not liking the trail might make you stressed on your wedding day!

Re: Hair trial advice....
what were you looking to do? post pics if you wouldn't mind.
My hair does not hold a curl b/c I have Japanese straightening, however, my stylist will be putting in extensions and recreating the look I want exactly.
Sorry you had a negative experience with this stylist - it's honestly an art form.
I suggest going to see someone else - there are plenty of vendors on here that the ladies have had great results from. Good Luck.

Re: Hair trial advice....
I too had a hair trial that was disappointing in the outcome. like you, the stylist was really nice and tried really hard, but the end result was not what I wanted.
I am definitely trying out other stylists and other styles...I know sometimes we get a vision in our heads of what we want, but maybe there is another style that would be better for your hair, and look better on you ultimately- even if it's not screaming your name right now.
Good luck, and post a pic. I remember you have blonde hair, which is sometimes finer and thinner (my mom and my sis- who can't hold a curl for their lives!) but the color is lovely- work with what the Good Lord has blessed you with!

Re: Hair trial advice....
I have long very thick frizzy blonde hair - its so heavy the curl gets pulled out by the roots and only holds on the end. I'm at work right now so unfortuntaley i don't have a picture. I wanted barrel curls lossely pulled into a low loose bun (very carry from sex and the city). but she did tiny spiral curls that caused my hair to frizz even worse pulled into a high funky ponytail/bun thing with hair going everywhere. I told her I do not like high updos b/c I don't think their flatterring for the shape of my face and prefer low and loose with some body or just down. She continued to do funky high updos.
Now I just want a half back Jessica Simspon hairstyle.

Re: Hair trial advice....
I feel your pain...I had a hair trial friday night and the woman made it look like I had a bird's nest on top of my head (I have curly hair also)....I just wanted it to go away...it was seriously awful.
But, after 4 painful makeup trials I finally found 'the one', so I'm hoping that I will find the perfect hairstyle and stylist soon as well :)
