Hair trial dilemma (PIX included)

Hair trial dilemma (PIX included)

OK, these are pix of my experimentation after two 'unsuccessful' hair trials (with two different stylists--details and pix in next post). Please give me your feedback. I still plan to have my hair done professionally but want to guide the stylist with my own pix.

Do you like it with some hair pulled back, poofed on the top (to set off the tiara that I'll be wearing), with a mix of natural curls and curling iron curls like in first set of pix? (POLL OPTION 1)

Or just all down with my natural curl --last two pix at end of this post? (POLL OPTION 2)

Here are the pix:

POLL OPTION 1: This is from a 'SELF-DONE' trial, so to speak. I took down my second hair trial (pix in next post), re-curled it and re-pinned it myself. (It's the same hair as the hair in my makeup trial pic).

I'll fix the spot where my scalp is showing

This is the same hair later that day after my makeup trial:

POLL OPTION 2:
THIS is something I did months ago with my natural curl, but now I'm thinking it might be the most 'ME,' but don't know if it would look too casual to actually wear at the wedding.

Of course, I would maximize the natural curl:

BACKGROUND: The two UNSUCCESSFUL hair trials:

Trial #1:
DID NOT LAST

I would've wanted slightly more volume:

The right side is already falling before I even leave the salon!

Trial #2:
HELMET HEAD!

Sample veil/tiara, not mine:

I took down a little from what she had pinned up on the top to soften it a bit, but it was still just too big! HELP!!

I don't really like Helmet head. (also called 80's NJ big hair style)... J/K You know me... bluntly honest.

I still think the hair MU trial is the best on you. You look beautiful on your e-pics

But, Sophie, with helmet hair, if I fall off my bike without a helmet on, I'll still be safe!

I'm freaking because I'm fearful that whoever does my hair the day-of, I'm going to have to undo and redo it myself before the wedding! aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhh!

My FSIL had her hair down and then when she went into her reception had to throw it up because her curls fell out-it actully looked better up with some of the curl out. I love hair trial #1 on you-if they could get it to stay.

Did you do the hair of the epics yourself? How long did it take? How long did it last?

I have to say that I LOVE this one the best. I know the sides were falling soon after the style was done, but I'm sure hairspray would help that ;) But I really just LOVE that look on you......

I like it with the make up trial, but I think it looks the BEST with your chat avatar picture!!! Is that an option?? lol.

Does it have to be curls, or can you blow it out straight? If you're worried about the curls falling out or being too out of control, maybe the sleek look of being blown out straight and then maybe adding curls is the way to go?

My hair is ridiculously curly. I Japanese Straightened it, but am adding curls for the wedding. Seems backwards, but I know my natural curl are curls I do NOT want for ANY day, much less my wedding day. You have BEAUTIFUL curls, but maybe for your wedding day they're not 'controllable' enough for the syle you want? Maybe you can go straight first? Just a suggestions. You're such a beautiful girl, you're gonna look beautiful no matter what. I just don't want your hair getting in the way of your beautiful face - especially with that PERFECT make up job you just showed us!!!

i really liked the makup you had in the other pics, it was a little softer, not as dark on the eyes

it looked really natural and very pretty

Hi Sophie and Sara-
Yes, the hair in the engagement pics (which is my chat avatar), I did myself.

It took me about 5 minutes. I put a little curl-up gel in it and scrunched it. That's it. It lasted all day! (And FH loved it).

Hmmmmm........

Carrie Ann..... that sounds like a winner!!!!!! Plus FH loved it??? EVEN BETTER!!!!

Apparently most people like your hair from your MU trial. I would say.....save yourself some $$$ and stress (from worrying they can replicate the style and that it iwill last all day!). Especially if it only takes 5 minutes.

i agree with sararadio - try straightning then curling. i have to do that with my naturally wavy sometimes pin curl hair. curls are so unpredictable - fake curls on straight hair usually work better for me

makeup looks great.. ur beautiful

I have to agree that your hair looks great in your chat avatar for your e-pics.

If you did that yourself, then don't fret and replicate on your special day. It's a winner.
