Hair Trial disaster!

Hair Trial disaster!

So I went for my first hair appointment yesterday, I had my hair exactly as I was told by the hair dresser, clean with no product in it. I gave specific instruction as to what I was looking for nothing crazy just bridal curls..
by the time I got home about a 20 min drive ALL my curls were gone and I looked like lion king. I didn't even go out to say the wind messed up my hair.. I am beyond disappointed and I'm in need for a GOOD hairdresser that can manage long curly hair! help!

Just a tip: I have very long hair too and the same thing happened a few months ago when I got my hair done for a friend's wedding... you need to get long layers put in your hair so that the curls last. My hair is wavy naturally, but because it's all one length it is heavy and was weighing down the curls that were getting put in. So, get your hair cut in long layers but say you want to keep the length in the back.. when I did that, my hair trial came out perfectly and the curls lasted from 10am until I was ready for bed lol

there's a hairspray called l'oreal elnette ( original in golden color can) hold curls real good and lightweight. :)

Idk how much your looking to spend or if u want them to come to u but I used to get all my updos done at id salon in woodbury (used to be in syosset) anyway Bonnie is the queen! They r pricey! My moh used to work there she no longer does that's the only really I'm not going there. They won't come to u either as far as I know.

ETA by pricey I like a blow out was $40! A bridal style is probably $250

I had a terrible hair experience and then someone recommended Fire Monkey Hair Designs (i found them through facebook and made an appointment that way.) The trial is in shirley and then she comes to you day of. She was amazing and you can't beat the price. Check out her pics on facebook and see if it's for you. The trial is only $40 so its worth a try.

Try Tara from Aurora Salon in Oyster Bay. She is great, and a very good friend of mine. I have long and very curly hair and she has always been able to do great things with my hair!

I had the same problem. My hair is pin straight and has a very difficult time holding a curl. I used Victoria from Primp LI and my curls stayed for the whole wedding. I bought extensions from Sally Beauty Supply that were about $140. I washed my hair the night before and having it a little greasy allowed the curls to form and stay. Don't settle for a hair stylist - I went on three trials before I found someone I liked that did my hair the way I wanted.

I'm using Kim Castro from Bedford and Mane in Bellmore. She was recommended to me on here and I went in for a hair cut and just to meet her and figure out what I wanted and she's awesome!
