Hair Trial on Saturday - How much to tip (if at all?) cuz its the owner? WITH POLL

Hi there!

I have a hair trial on Saturday that I'm so excited about, I might just go sit in the car right now and wait, hahahha.

But if she owns the 'company' do I tip still? How much!?

ETA: It posted my poll without me putting a 'No' option! hahaha - please put below if I don't need to tip in your opinion, please!

where is the trail at a salon or at her house? Personally I didnt tip because all my trail where at their houses and I had to pay them over 100 each time, so that is all their money.. I will tip the day of the wedding

I don't plan on tipping. As the owner of the salon, they should have the tip built into their rate

owner = usually no tip. it also depends on the trial price. I went on an AWFUL trial for hair and MU and it was $150! Even it it went well I wouldn't have tipped because it was sooooo damn expensive!!

I guess I'm the odd ball... I tip regardless of who it is and where they do it. Usually 20%.

i think my makeup trail was $50 and shes the owner and i think i gave her $60

dont know if its right or wrong..i just feel u provide a service so i tip

I didn't tip the day of the trial but I tipped the day of the wedding.

I would tip 20%. I always err on the side of tipping (rather than not) when it comes to anything wedding related. You want to keep these vendors on your good side!

Also, I don't ocnsider the 'owner' rule in this case b/c it's not an owner of a large salon. Many are just in business for themself.
