Hair Trial Question

Hair Trial Question

I'm having my hair/makeup trial on Saturday. Do I need to have my headpiece? Because I have no idea what I'm going to use. Should I get a stand in headband or something from the beauty shop just for the trial? Has anyone done a hair trial without their hair accessories?

I think it's easier if you bring your headpiece (veil, band, clips) with you that day because it could change the look of your hair. I have read though that if you bring a picture of what you may be wearing, the hairstylist could see what you will be wearing the day of.

I was told to bring my veil and comb. I wanted a look where I could take out my veil and not mess up my do, so she wanted both there so she could get it right.

I would bring everything you are planning to have in your hair the day of your wedding.

I didn't bring my hairpiece because I haven't even purchased one yet. My stylist told me what would/wouldn't work with my hair style for the day of. I may call or show her what I buy once I buy once I buy it though just to make sure.

On my trial, I was advised to bring pictures of my dress, hair/makeup ideas, and my hair piece/veil. If you don't have your veil or hair piece yet, bring her a pic of it or what you have in mind. She can help you plan out what would look more flattering for you. :)

Thanks guys, my veil isn't going to be ready until May anyway - so I'll just show her the picture of it and the head band I tried on.

I didn't have my veil yet for my trial cuz someone is making for me and we're waiting on any trimmings from my dress after alterations she might be able to use. She was able to do the trial without it. I went to be able to take it off for the reception anyway so it'll be put in so it can be easily removed. I also am wearing fresh flowers in my hair so obviously I didn't have those either.

I brought my veil and headband, and they were like second thoughts. She didn't even put my veil on my head. It seemed like the biggest concern was if I liked the hair and got a good feeling for the stylist. They will get the accessories down that day without rehearsal.

That's how I feel...I am more worried about liking the style and making sure I won't sweat it out. Actually I rather buy a headpiece to match the style rather than have a style to match the headpiece now that I'm thinking about it. Thanks ladies.
