hair trial tonight... Any advice on what I should do?

OK, tonight is my first (and hopefully LAST) hair trial. I've got my ginormous veil and my hair clip, and I know the pricing....

what else should I say / bring / do at the hair trial? What would you have done differently at yours if you could do it again?

do we wash our hair? go with a wet head? dry head & they wash it?

Bring a picture of your dress. It helps your stylist know what kind of look you are going for.

Im almost positive it should be dry

If I could do it over again I would tell my girl to make it less 'bridal.' I have very straight hair and I never curl it, so my trial was nice, but a completely different look for me. Plus it took about 3 hours! (Maybe more...I know I am blocking some of it out...)

I'm going to go back on the 12th of May and tell her that I want a more natural look.

If you have a picture of something you like you should definitely bring that.

And bring a camera to post pics!!

do NOT wash ur hair. Mine was too dirty and they had to wash & blow dry it. Took forever! I just went w/ an open mind, gave her some ideas and she was fantastic! So pleased. Have faith they know what their doing and it will all work out.

bring pictures of styles you like. i was told to have a 'clean, dry head' when i went. no products or anything in your hair.

didn't think of that.... thanks! I'm at work right now, so I can print it out.... good idea...

the clean dry head w/o products is my natural work-state.... which is good since I'm going straight there after work....

This is what I would HIGHLY recommend:

- Wash and dry your hair TODAY, not tomorrow. The 'cleaner' your hair, the harder to style. THey usually recommend you wash your hair the day/night before. So you would arrive with a dry and clean head of hair.

- Bring pictures of styles you like very much (you can bring different pics of things you like, for example 'I like the front on this pic, the back on this, the type of curls in this one, the bun in that one, etc etc'.

- Bring your headpiece, veil, etc. THey may still use one of their sample veils so as to not accidentally ruin yours, but at least they'll have it there and may use it in your trial.

- You can bring a pic of your dress if you like - not necessary though, in my opinion.

Just go with your regular style, they will try a few different hair styles, will tease your hair all different ways. Its fun, just sit back and enjoy and bring what ever tiara or hair jewels you would like to see in your hair that day and dont forget your veil, but if you dont have that its okay. Then you will be ready to rock and roll...I cant wait to see your pictures, dont forget to post them.

I brought pictures of exactly what I wanted (or ideas of what i wanted) to all my trials. It made it easier than trying to explain to her what I wanted. leaves no room for miscommunication
