Re: Hair trials
depends....my hair and make up person is self employed.....so the money for the trial was a full profit..(no tip needed)......If your hair person works for a company...I think you should tip.

Re: Hair trials
My makeup person is self-employed. The hair person works for a salon and for the make-up person but profits directly, does that make sense? Thanks for the input.

Re: Hair trials
i forgot to tip my hair person at the trial too. i felt really bad because i didn't do it on purpose, i was just so excited about how great my hair looked and wanted to go to my sisters house to show her and i ran out with out thinking about it...and i booked her too which was even worse! i left her message apologizing and just mailed her a check for $15.

Re: Hair trials
So I feel horrible now. Everybody at work was telling me not to. I am actually going for a second hair trial with her because it didn't come out right. She won't charge me she said. I can give her something then. But the makeup person who owns the place, I jipped her?

Re: Hair trials
I tipped both...the hair person works for a salon, but did my hair on her own (not affiliated with the salon)...and the make up person has her own business. The way I see it is what they charge is their fee...if they do a good job regardless of owning the business...they should get a tip. Again...JMHO.
