Hair Updo - which do you like? (pics)

Had my hair trial yesterday.... which do you like the best?

*** There will be a very blingy headpiece in front of all the updo's. And I will be wearing my veil the entire night. **

#1 Updo - not too high on head
#2 Updo - high on head
#3 Updo covered by veil - blingy headpiece will be right in front of the veil

Personally - I wouldn't do half up/down in July with my hair b/c there is no way it would hold.

I like the first and third - although with the third, I'm not sure if you are going to keep the veil in the whole night.

IMO - I do not like the way the 2nd picture looks on you. Sorry.

I really like the first one. I wouldn't do the third one if you are going to keep the veil in all night. I think it is too much.

If you hadn't said that you were keeping the veil on all night, I would have chosen the 3rd photo. Considering that you want to wear it all night, I would go with the first photo.

I'm curious about #3 - a couple people thought it would be good, but not if I'm going to wear the veil the whole night. What makes it good for part of the night, but not the whole night?

Out of the three, I like #1 the best...I like the simplicity of #3 also, but with the veil on - the veil ends up overpowering your whole face. The way it's on in picture #1 is great because it's more of an accent rather than the main thing. I also think a half up/half down would look really pretty on you!

Do you think if I did a half up/half down, that I could then do the veil toward the front, like it is in #3? Or would that still be too overpowering you think?

I posted about #1 vs #3. To me, the 3rd photo is where a veil belongs. If your question had simply been about the ceremony, that's the one I would have suggested. My concern is that, if you plan to wear the veil all night, it's a bit too overpowering. The veil shouldn't take center stage during the reception; You should.

If your hair were down or partially down, my thought is that the veil wouldn't look as severe and the veil would complement you rather than cover you.
