hair updos

Hello. Just had my trial at Maximus salon in westbury......paid for an updo...then they charge 10.00 extra for using a curling iron??? never heard of such a thing. Did a nice job, but annoyed the bridal coordinator failed to mention that detail!

anyone ever hear of this???

i never heard of that. the hair genie did my hair for the wedding. she used a curling iron and didn't charge extra to use it

I would not use them just for that

Why not factor it into the price to begin with? How many styles can be done without using a curling iron or curlers or even a straight iron (for which I'd think they'd do the same thing)...

Sounds crazy. I'd stay away. They're trying to be sneaky. Yuck!
Does anyone have a contact # for the hair genie or a website, I keep hearing good things about them. Thanks for the help.

if you get a blowout with flat iron sometimes you have to add 10 bucks since it can take an extra 20 minutes.

but thats for a blowout for going out on a friday kwim??
an updo ..is expected that most likely there will be a curling iron..

that is completey stupid in my opinion!!!!

They often charge more for very long hair. Using a curling iron on long hair may take extra time and in business, time=money. Not that its right or wrong but you know what I mean.

That is silly. You should not be charged extra money for that. I didn't like that place since they are money hungry

thanks!! i think im going to stay with them (maximus) though bc i already paid for my trial....i am DEF calling the bridal coordinator tomorrow, not happy with that little detail that was left out!
