Believe it or not.. prenatal vitamins. They can be supermarket/drug store brand... doesn't have to be perscription. When i was pregnant my hair and nails were thick... and grew really fast. I'm not pregnant now but I've been taking them again because i noticed such a difference after I stopped. Big difference again.. my hair looks thicker and it's growing like a freaking weed. And my nails are incredibly strong as a side bonus!
My hair lady suggested the same thing a while back before I got pregnant when i complained that my hair was looking thin.

Are there any other side affects that come with taking them even if your not pregnant?

that is probably the only downfall. some people say it bothers their stomach. i take all my pills and vitamins at night. it seems to work for me!

Re: hair vitamins

Other then the queesy (spelling?) feeling, there are no side effects. Some women even take them before getting pregnant to reap the benefits in advance, to make sure their body has what it needs to support a healthy growing baby.

With that said... I would NOT be taking this in addition to your regular daily vitamin.

Mine were making me queesy when i took them first thing in the morning... then i started taking them with my dinner or right before i went to sleep and it never bothered me again.

Be prepared though.. your first pee in the morning (if you take them at night) will be bright flouresant yellow... like neon colored. Thats not a bad thing.

The magnesium can you make you sick, but your body adjusts to it. And they also may make you constipated.

I just finished a bottle of Biotin (60 pills). I've noticed that in the 2 months or so from taking them it's grown just a little more (especially the broken pieces). I don't remember which brand (got at CVS). It was the one on sale- lol...

And my coworkers who have taken them just told me they can also make you break out badly.
