Hair ?: Who did you have trials with.....

Who did you book (or will book?)
Why didn't you choose the other vendor for hair?

Just curious ! :)

My only trial was with Tarale and I booked her on the spot.

I did have another trial with her a couple months later bec I wanted to try a different style.

Had a trial with Elaine (The Bridal Touch) and Sara Rock---LOVED them BOTH!!! But chose Elaine b/c she can do the extensions and create a fuller/more natural look.

I had 2 trials with Claudia Pedala
1 with Jenn the Hair Genie
1 with April from Creatie Hair designs

It was between Claudia and Jenn and I took forever to decide. I finally booked Jenn after about 4 months of deciding! It was one of my hardest decisions!

I am just using the woman who cuts my hair & has been doing so for 10 years. She is about my age & she is fabulous & I know she will do exactly what I want. Didn't try anyone else!

I had a hair trial with Jennifer Zeiglemeier (I always mis-spell her name), Mya from Cosmetic Artistry, and Jenn from Hair Genie.

In the beginning, I was going back and forth about going to a salon the morning of but to be honest, I showed them each the same picture and Mya really constructed it exactly like the picture. All three of them are very talented but I liked being able to show mya the picture and having it completely done without any changes or anything (plus, she lives so close to my house that it just made sense )

Can you girls include the contact info for the people with whom you had trials? I know I have a long while to go but I have no idea who I'll use. Plus it's gonna be more expensive cuz my wedding's on a Sunday. How far ahead should I be booking a hair stylist?

I had alot of problems finding someone for hair. I tried to get Denise Venti, she was already booked. I really wanted someone to come to me instead of going to my salon. I had 3 trials w/3 seperate girls.. I hated them all. I ended up going to my girl who cuts my hair (the owner of the salon) and I was thrilled. It really didn't seem that much of a big deal on my wedding day to go to the salon after all...The 3 stylists that my trials were with were recommendations through friends. Not one of them listened to what I wanted. they all seemed to have the same look- barrel curls....

1 trial with claudia pedela --my hair was very messy looking and i had a headache from all the bobby pins

1 trial with christian diaz --again my hair was very messy looking

1 trial with denise venti --booked her --she takes her time and is a perfectionist!

Were you asking about Tarale? Or another hairstylist? Tarale's trial is $50 at City Slickers in Baldwin, and on the day of the wedding she's charging $125 for bride and $65/person for everyone else. I think she has a different price if you have less than 5 people, but I'm not sure what that is because I have more than 5.
