Hair/FMIL Dilemma

Let me just hair has been the hardest part of the wedding lol!

FMIL has a hair stylist that she loves. I've used him a few times before for cuts and blowouts before a family wedding. He is really good and I wanted to use him for the wedding. However, I think he is charging too much to travel to the site. $400 for me! He wants $100 for everyone else. I know hair can be a lot, but I drew a line and said $300 was my limit so I won't use it. FMIL agrees and understands. We've been trying to find someone else, but she still really wants to use him. So she is offering to give a gift to reduce the price for me and my bridal party. I feel bad taking the money. However it would help and it is really nice of her. I just feel it is because she is so nervous to use anyone else. I want to use this hair stylist too, (I love his work), I just felt I had to draw the line somewhere with cost.

Sorry this came out a little long.... What does everyone think? Would you take the money? Just pay the price for the person you want to use?

I personally think $400 is wayyy too much, whether your FMIL is paying of not. That guy is totally taking advantage. I would also feel really bad asking FMIL to pay. I think you should just pay what you want for who you want and avoid all the drama associated with this guy.

$400!! that's crazy. I think $250 is the most you should be paying but that's just me.

If FMIL wants to use him, why can't SHE use him and you use someone else?

Eh, I thought that was the plan, but I guess she feels bad then if everyone else is using someone different. She's been driving me nuts with the hair lol!
