When booking Hair and Make Up... does this industry provide a contract??
Whether your going to a salon or having someone come to you?

I think it depends on who it is.

I'll let you know later today because I have my trial today and most likely officially booking her.
I would think there would be no contract involved though.

No contract with anyone I've used. For hair I just went to my regular salon so it might be different if you have someone coming to you.

that's actually true. If I was having a hair person coming to me the day of, I think I might want something in writing in case something goes wrong and she doesn't show up (especially if you are leaving a deposit up front)

Both my hair and makeup have contracts... I think i would insist on one even if they didnt have one.

I think if you book any individual make up/hair stylist, you should have a contract.

I did not have a contract for both - but then again, I just went to my regular salon.

For makeup- I got a recipet showing I paid the 50% deposit.
For hair- no (but it was also a family friend so I trusted her completely)

I have a contract. She is coming to me the day of. I think if a free lance stylist is coming to you the day of, it may be better to have a contract. Just to feel more reassured. If it were a salon I don't think it would matter to me either way if I had a contract or not.
