Hair/Make up trial tomorrow. questions/help???

So tomorrow is my hair and makeup trial and my stepmom, who set the whole thing up.. bailed on me and now i'm going alone. I don't want to ask my sister to go with me because she's very busy and I don't want to take up her whole Sunday, etc.

anyway.. . did anyone else go alone? also, what did you tip your hair and make up artists?

For make up trial i went alone bc i went straight after work and it was perfectly fine, i didnt mind at all. For hair trial MIL asked if she can come with me so i went with her. Either way it is fine.

Normally tip is 15-20%

Everyone I know who has done this has gone alone...Its not too big of a deal.
Tip around 15%-18%

I went alone to all but one of my makeup and hair trials. You will be fine don't worry :) Bring a camera (just in case the artist doesn't take her own pics-some do and will email you the pics, some don't), and bring pics of what you like for your hair and makeup. Some artists have pictures for ideas, some don't.
As far as tipping I tipped $10 on each trial. Most trials were $50 each. I won a makeup and hair trial and tipped her $40 (She spent a lot of time). The truth is not everyone tips though...esp if they are unhappy...so don't feel pressured to if you are not happy with the results...the artist should listen to you and what you want and hopefully create the look you are going for
