I know a great hair/makeup artist based in NYC. I'm a musician and I had this artist do my hair and makeup for my CD photo shoot last year. It was a bit pricey, but she did great work. I may ask her if she'd be interested in doing my hair and makeup for my wedding next year, but I'm not sure how familiar she is with wedding hair...she does mostly celebrity and model shoots. Any advice?

Re: hair/makeup advice
Just talk to her and see what she says. My hairstylist that have been going to for years works at a salon in NYC and isn't a bridal hairstylists or make up artist. She also has celebrity clients and everyone at the salon does photo shoots and all that. Personally i would rather have her do my hair because I trust her and she is who I am comfortable with. Also with make-up I am going to use someone else at the salon. He also has many celebrity clients and does photo shoots.
If you know her work and would be comfortable with her ask her. My stylist offered her services so I know she will be comfortable doing it.

I would talk to her about it. My hair dresser did my hair on my wedding day...she isn't a bridal hair dresser but did a wonderful job
