Hair/Makeup Frustration!

Okay, so I have been contacting people because I want to have my trials done soon and all so I can book...but are all of you booking your hair and makeup for your BP with the same people that you are using? I just think that 100 pp for hair and makeup is a lot for each member for the BP. What are the prices you have received for BP members and who they were from.

BTW, I also think $400 for me to get my hair and makeup done is a little much too! But I can get over it.

Ugh VERY limited response. I contacted Mia but her website pricing is $100 cheaper then she quoted me. I am so upset that it costs so much for my BP. I understand that as soon as you mutter the words 'wedding' or 'bride' prices are jacked up a zillion percent! So frustrating!!!!!

I guess so. 1000 split between 6 is 166 but I would probably put in more then the BMs just because that is still a lot in my book especially after tipping.....maybe I should ask 5 more ppl to be in the BP

Aww I'm sorry, I am here so I can respond now! I just saw this post... and I know what you mean, sometimes no one responds to mine! I feel left out...

Anyways... I'm not sure about prices, but I have my one hair lady that I have been going to for forever, and I already know that I am having her do my hair and make up the day of, she did my sister for her prom last year and did an amazing job! However, I know she can not possibly do my whole bridal party herself... I have 10 girls total, plus FG, and my mom, etc. So I am going to look around for somewhere else to do the rest of the girls! I'll let you know when I find out prices!

Aww I'm sorry, I am here so I can respond now! I just saw this post... and I know what you mean, sometimes no one responds to mine! I feel left out...

Anyways... if you talk to out of state makeup artists and stuff you'll get much better prices. and a lot of them are looking to break into work in NY so they may not charge a travel fee. perhaps a room for the night depending on how far they come from, but from what i've seen that'd still be cheap.

try craigslist in MA... a lot of girls post info on there and a lot of websites with their stuff on it.

if you can go to different salons and find someone you like, most of the time they are willing to come to your house. My bp was ok with paying to get their hair done but not their make-up. So I was able to book jen (hair genie) for hair but had a difficult time finding a make-up artist that did not require a minimum

oksana charges $90 for the bp
hair genie was $75 for bp
I think that is pretty decent
