i had forwarded a contract noting things like payment and cancellation just in case she won't be able to make my wedding..and my person says she can't sign it.
i really like her and want her to do my wedding but i want to protect myself as well...did most of you get your hair/makeup person to sign a contract or have an agreement via email or etc???

I has my regular hairstylist do my hair and the makeup was done by the wife of my brother friend so neither of which i thought I'd need from them. I guess it depends on who you are using.

why cant she sign it? so there's no recourse against her if she decides to screw you over and cancel last minute for a better job?
who is your hair/makeup person? that is sketchy and I would find someone else if shes not willing to sign a K

actually right after my hair trial she is the one who handed me a contract. Ask her if maybe its something in the contract she doesn't like and see if you revise it if she'll be ok with it or if she just doesnt want to sign ANY contract

Yeah I definitely got a contract from mine and it was very specific.

When I decided to book her right after my trial she gave me the contract right there, if she isnt willing to sign it I would ask her why, she should ALSO want to be protected.

I've seen this question asked before on this site and the previous thread was more of a mix--some had contracts, some didn't. I didn't have a contract and things worked out fine. Good luck.

Definitely get a contract! If she really cant give you a good reason why she wont sign it then you should probably go elsewhere. You have to lookout for yourself not her feelings!

I don't have a contract for my hair, but that's b/c it is my family's stylist (we've been going to her for 28 years). For makeup though, I as given and signed a contract a the trial as soon as I wanted to book her.
Sounds very odd that she doesn't want to sign it... I'd ask her why before finding someone else, just so you know her reasoning, and then if you do decide to use someone else, the original woman will know that it's b/c you couldn't have a contract with her.
