I did a search for this an only got LI wedding archives. Hopefully you don't mind me taking this poll but it was the easiest way to see what opinions everyone has.
I am in the process to decide hair and makeup. Which would you prefer? Hair and Makeup at your getting ready location or at a salon?
I have been debating the pros and cons. I really like my normal hairdresser and how she does my hair. I am not sure if she would be able to come to my house.
So what do you ladies think?

I prefer getting ready in the comfort of my own home. so I say the getting ready place. Plus if it rains or it's really windy etc, you have to worry about getting in and out of the car, your hair getting fugged up. Don't need anymore stress that your not already under.

I loved not having to leave the house until it was time to get married, but if you love your hairdresser, go to her/him. I would have.

The person doing my hair and make-up actually lives in my building so she's going to come to my apartment!

Hair will be at the salon, and makeup if my friend does it, will be at my parents home.

My wedding isn't until 7pm so I figured that I would save some money and just go to the salon to get ready.

I got ready at my house with some of the girls. It was great, we had so much fun plus we didn't have to worry about driving or the weather.

My girls and I got ready at my parent's house, which was spacious enough for it to be fun, not crowded. We toyed with the idea of going to the salon, getting a limo to take us and having mimosas there and stuff, but it ended up falling into place at my house, so that's what we did.
I found it relaxing to be home, but then again I have nothing to compare it to!

There is no way I am leaving my house the day of until it is time to get in that horse and carriage to head to the ceremony.
