Hi, I am getting married at Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury on May 25, 2008. A friend recommended Janine and Maximus Salon - but I just called her and she said they won't take reservations for hair/makeup more than 3 months in advance. I don't want to wait until march to book hair/makeup. Is this normal? Can you please recommend someone/salon for hair and makeup thats good and reasonably priced? I have 8 girls. thanks!
Try Cactus in Plainview. Hair Connie or Michele and Jen for make-up. The 3 mo. thing doesn't make sense to me. when i booked my girls hair and make-up they wanted to know as soon as possible.
I used Sachiko Yanase. My wedding was at Crest Hollow, although the 'getting ready' site was Fox Hollow, which is nearby. Sachiko did both hair and makeup for me and the two mothers and hair only for most of my BMs. Everyone was very happy with her work. DH even commented recently, when looking at pics, that she did a good job. I have a couple of non-pro pics in my album. FM me if you want more info.
