I'm trying to decide between getting a half or full eternity wedding band. The full eternity is more money, but I may regret not getting the full in the future if I get the half to save money. Which would you choose and why??

I agree with half- FH wanted me to get a full, but it is so much more delicate than a half! I can't be thinking about popping diamonds out of a setting all the time.
I think half is way more practical

Re: Half vs. Full Eternity wedding band
Our jewler told us to hold off on getting the full. He said if we were older a couple, had our kids already etc that would be different. But the last thing we would want to do he said is to resize it. He said wait for an anniversary and upgrade then. So we're doing half!
I thought that was pretty honest since they would want to get more money!

Half.
I was going to get the full one too but i just thought of all the times it would be possible to lose a stone, i just couldnt deal with having to examine my ring every minute of everyday afraid i lost one.

Half. If it fits you correctly it won't spin. Plus you can use the money saved for something else.

Half. I'm afraid of losing some of the diamonds in the eternity band...

Re: Half vs. Full Eternity wedding band
I went for half. It came as a set with my ering. I can't stand stones rubbing the sides of my fingers. I don't want to worry about stones falling out. FH's SIL had problems with hers falling out constantly, they told her it was because the ring had shared prongs. She got a new one and hasn't had any issues but it's kinda sad that the ring on your finger isn't the one placed there on your wedding day. I also like the ability to resize my rings. And the ring won't turn if it's the right size! So don't even be concerned about that!

I love the way the full looks. I think that's what I am going to get. Don't get a half if the only reasons are that your fingers might swell and or because you 'might' bang it and diamonds 'might' fall out! That's why you get insurance on it! Also, not everyones fingers swell.... if you love the look of the full go for it! My girlfriend has a full one and it's spectacular... a half on her just wouldn't compare!

i would say half if you want to save money but i really want full - even though a lot of ppl say that you don't even see the other half. I just love diamonds

My e-ring is 3/4. It gives the same effect as an eternity band but there is just enough leeway on the bottom to re-size it if needed. Would that be an option for you?

i really love the full one but the diamonds come out easily from being banged around all the time

Thanks girls!! I think I'm leaning more towards the half eternity because I'm worried about damaging the diamonds since I will be wearing the ring everyday.

Re: Half vs. Full Eternity wedding band
half!!! my cousin spent over 9k on hers and 3 of the bottom ones fell out....
i plan on getting the kids eternity bands when i have them-- hopefully i don't have any kids in april!!! jk
If you have the money to spend and replace them if you lose them than full of course looks amazingggggg.. if its alot to even buy the full.. then half...

Re: Half vs. Full Eternity wedding band
I like half. The full is gorgeous, but with half you don't have to worry as much about losing diamonds and my jeweler told me you WILL lose damonds. He also says it turns around , so you don't really have a 'top' and it can get banged up on all sides, not just the 'bottom', KWIM?
Also, it's diff to resize, and I was thinking sometimes on the train at night i'll turn my e-ring around, it's nice to be able to that with a wedding ring too, so you're not flashing diamonds on the subway, you can't do that with a full
