I contacted the Sandspoint castle and they will allow me to have my ceremony there and take pictures, but they won't allow me to have my reception there. Does anyone know of a hall in that area that allows outside catering? I'm just looking to rent out the large room. Does anyone know of any churches, or business that will rent out the hall without charging me an arm and a leg?

Are you looking for something in hempstead or the village of hempstead? Im pretty sure the sandspoint castle is located on the northshore. If that's what your referring to, there are a few places. There's the village club at lake success (which is breathtaking) but I think they might have their own caterer. Leonards is also around the corner and they have very good prices. There's also a knights of columbus in New Hyde Park road. If your looking for something in the town of hempstead there's a golf course you can try or Ariana Waterfall is located right on the hempstead border (west hempstead). Hope that helps!

Maybe you can find a park in that area that will allow you have a reception there for a small fee. Do you want to have a large reception?

I'm looking for a hall by the castle. But I'm hiring my moms ex boyfriend to cater my wedding, so I want to give him the business. A park sounds great but I don't the area that well at all.

It must ahve been the other thread but I suggested the K of C in NHP. I know they have their own caterer, but they might still allow you to bring food in. Also the college campuses have beautiful banquet halls but I know for some of them (like hofstra) you need to use their in house caterer. It can't hurt to call around though!
