Why do halls give out so many different prices for the same day of the week and same month?
I've been looking around and see people who are quoted 8$ less a person then i was. Or same but with more stuff thrown in.
is this normal? Do i need to try to get a lower price?

Re: Hall Question.
I definitely don't think you should just take their first quote and settle with that. You should always try to get a better price, or at least get some stuff thrown in. When you go book, if they won't bring the price down, ask them if they can work with you a little and throw in something that you want for free. Like a chocolate fountain, or shrimp cocktail.

everything is negotiable... i knew i was getting a great deal with the p/p price, but still asked em to drop the minimum a lil bit

the price is really good but it annoys me to hear people are quoted the same price but with the fountain thrown in, or an extra hour or something. or that people are quoted at $5-10 cheaper. we are giving a minimum of 120 but will prob have 175-200 so im not worried about that. but thats like 1500 we can save.

I think you should talk to them. I am sure they will work with you. I am sure if you tell them that you feel like you might not be getting the best deal they can give you, they will do something special for you. Did you already sign the contract?

It could also have to do with the minimum you are giving them. I know where we booked, adding or subtracting 25 people from the min made the price go up or down $5 pp. But they put an 'if' clause in our contract that if we have 25 more then our min they will drop the price by $5 pp.

the minimum for the room is 100 people. we are promising 120 which is the minimum they gave us. we will definatly go over that minimum by atleast 50 people

Re: Hall Question.
we KNEW we would go over the minimum they wanted so we were able to up the minimum and get a lower PP price. Only do this if you are absolutely sure, and leave some buffer zone.
Everything is negotiable so if you cant lower the price, maybe get things thrown in? We got the Venetian Hour, 2 extra CH stations and some smaller things thrown in for an extra $4 or so.
It's like Chinatown, they expect you to negotiate and are prepared to come down or throw in more.

I think it's normal b.c. you negotiate what you want and I gues it depends on what BM you see or times and stuff.
