I keep going back and forth with the idea, because no one is throwing one for us so FH & I decided to throw one for ourselves! I'm looking into firehouses and knights of columbus halls, but are there any smaller halls that anyone would recommend? TIA!

Or check into local restaurants that have a back room but I tried to do that for mine and it was going to be sooo expensive. So we went to Mediterranean Manor and had it there bc they gave us soo much food and really worked with us. It is a nice place for an engagement party. Let me know and I can give you some suggestions.

we had ours at the American Legion in Seaford, they supplied the room and booze, we catered the food thanks to my best friend her and her dad did an awesome job cooking and my sister did all the decor. We were the ones paying for it, no one through the party for us

I was having the same issue with E parties, reception halls and restaurants are so expensive... so we are going to have ours in my parent's backyard, we will decorate, get kegs, rent a tent, tables and chairs, and have it catered! Hopefully we will spend around 2000.
Good luck!

Thanks girls, oue list is kindof big and I although I did but half of the wedding list, it's still over 100 people and that's alot to have in my yard and parking on my street is horrendous. I just feel like it would be less of a headache if I had it somewhere..Sarena FM Med Manor info! lol

We had ours last August in my mom's backyard. We had tents and it was catered. It was very nice and laid back but still classy!! Def. saved a ton of $ and it was a blast! Let me know if you need help...my tent guy is very reasonable...tables/chairs/lighting etc...hes great!
