Hi There, im new to this site, but iam wondering if i can reach out to you girls for some advice, im looking for a halter top style wedding dress...anyone have some ideas of whre to look or anything specific they have seen tht they love? help :)

my best advice is to go to Davids Bridal and try on a couple of their halter dresses to be sure that you love the style! Then from there, if you still love them, you can go look at other places if you'd like. Thats what I did. I found that the style I thought I loved originally was definitely not the best style for my body type

im in west islip, i uploaded a pic of myself in a bathing suit LOL , maybe u can all tell me what u think is best for my body type and coloring, im really not good at this kind of stuff.....thanks....what kind of dress stlye did u start out thinkin u wanted and what did u end up with?

If you go to TheKnot.com they have a lot of pictures of wedding dresses on there and you can search by style and pull up a bunch of Halter top dresses that way.

I think you look nice in a halter bathing suit, but you should definitely try on a bunch of different gowns, you never know what you are going to love! I bet a halter would look nice too though! Do you have any particular designers in mind?
I've heard really good things about Paradise Bridal, and Adrienne's Bridal is in your area as well. It will also depend on your budget, I know Bridal Reflections in Carle Place carries a lot of beautiful gowns, but I believe they start around 2K.
Originally I thought I wanted a strapless mermaid style dress, I'm pretty skinny and small and I thought it would be great for me. WRONG! I ended up with a V-neck a-line gown (pics in my album).
