anyone know how to make a ham? I would like to try to make one for christmas dinner. Is it hard or easy?
SUPER easy. Go to Costco and get one of their sprial hams. They taste great! And the recipe for the glaze is on the package- you just add water to the little package. We use these hams for lots of occasions. You just need a large roasting pan, foil and a baster to prepare it correctly. You should also cut up carrots and put them around the ham. YUMMY!
I usually buy the 'shank portion' (sounds nasty, right?) with no water added. I forget the exact name brand. One of the best things I learned from the Food Network is to baste ham with DR. PEPPER! No kidding. It comes out AMAZING!!!!
