Hello girls! Has anyone been to, booked, or had their reception at the Hamlet Willow Creek in Mount. Sinai? I am booking it on Saturday and absolutely love it for my May 25, 2008 eve. wedding. I was wondering if anyone had anything they could share about the place and their experience, and pictures if you have. Thanks!

I went to a wedding there in September, it was beautiful (I think it was a rainy night too, and it was still beautiful). The food was delicious, they had the cocktail hour in the room you're talking about, and I don't know how many people they had, but it was probably 150 and it seemed comfortable. But, I have nothing but raves about that place and the same goes for my friend who got married there- she was very happy!!!! You can't beat a place that's practically brand new, modern, updated, clean, etc...

I am having my wedding there in September 2007. Barbara may come of a little tough, but she is very into what she does which is very comforting. I've read 1 real negative review and I think 2 eh reviews, but everything else has been great. My one concern was the space, but after looking at places like the Millerridge, everything looked small. From what I understand your cocktail hour runs between the front foyer, the patio (if it's nice) and the back bar. I'm goign to talk to Barbara to make sure there's a way to guide people to the back because I've heard about the front being over-crowded. Look on the Brides Review boards for more details.

Oh there is a way to lead them to the back!
A hallway is created through the ballroom...that leads out into the patio. It is dismantled within 7 minutes before everyone is lead into the ballroom. I booked there and Iam going to love it...and im sure you will too! :) Barbara is awesome...shes really helping my fiance and I with everything we need!
Thats what we are doing! Definitley a good idea!

We checked it out when we were first looking - we loved it! Gorgeous place, and Barbara seemed great as well. For us, the only problem was space for cocktail hour. We're getting married in January, so outdoors was out for us. And the set-up for indoors made us nervous. It seemed like it might be a little crowded for our 200 person guest list.
If they had had a separate cocktail hour room, we probably would have booked it!
I know there are several brides that have gotten married there - try doing a search.![]()

I've read that people aren't always aware of it. I may request that some of the CH food is stationed back there or something to keep people there.
My sister was married there. It is absolutely amazing!! She had a wonderful time and the setting is breath taking!! Congratulations!!!
Never been there myself, but I head really great things about it.
I had my wedding there October 2005. It was FABULOUS. I am an event planner in Virginia (where I live) so I see lots of weddings, and mine was great if I do say so myself. Barbara was fantastic and I didn't have to worry about anything. It was raining on my wedding day and the cocktail hour was all inside. I had 140 guests and there was plenty of room. My husband's family LOVED the back bar! Food was amazing, service was excellent and the decor was just what I was looking for. All the brides who booked there have nothing to worry about.
