Hamlet Willow Creek

We recently went to see The Hamlet in Mt. Sinai. I really liked it except there is no bar in the main room! I was told there is an attendant for each table, but I feel like my guests would be always waiting for a drink. I've been reading the other posts and no one mentions anything. If you have had a wedding or been to a wedding here can you please tell me if it was an issue. Thanks so much!

Secondly, when we went to look at HWC that is one of things that turned us off as well- also that the CH is in the lobby and for a December wedding and the doors opening- just not a good combination. I just felt like there wasn't enough space for a fairly newly built place. But on an another note, I have read tons of great things from previous HWC brides.

My FSIL actually worked there over the summer and yes there are attendants at each table but she said that the staff is always checking on the guests and they go right up to the main bar and get the drinks and it doesn't take them very long. Their staff is so efficient and they take good care of the guests!!

P.S. We have the same name and we're getting married in the same month and year!! Congratulations on your engagement and don't forget to come meet the girls over on the '09 boards!!

We booked there and that was one of the things we loved about the place!! It really lets ur guests enjoy the wedding... not running back and forth for drinks. THeres one waiter per table, so theres a lot of waitstaff working to keep the guests happy!

From everything ive read....the girls who have gotten married there were thrilled, and Barbara is a hoot! she sealed the deal. I am so excited and cant wait for my wedding. Barbara is basically my wedding planner... im on with her almost everyday about everything...even just to vent!

THey are having a dinner there tomorrow 50 a head.. FH and I are going to try the food...

I just booked at Hamlet Willow Creek for December 2007. Although the cocktail room is as soon as you enter the building, I decided to get over it, because that's only an hour. Barbara at HWC is amazing and willling to do anything you want which I didn't find at some other places. We thought it was more important to have a ballroom we loved because that is where you will spend most of your time. Also, although the bar is in the cocktail room (same way at Lombardi's on the Sound where we also looked) the waitstaff seems to be VERY attentive to detail and makes sure to keep the glasses full. We went for a tasting and the food/presentataion was great.
