Hi - I got married at the Hamlet Windwatch in Hauppauge and had around that many people. It was a perfect size for that room. Hope that helps!

Im certain it can hold that many people. I think it can hold more than 200. Good luck and feel free to fm me if you have any other questions!!

The Hamlet is such a great place. The room is L shaped. They say the room holds up to 230 people when the divider is open. I am having about 180, so you should be fine with 160-170. You should definitely take a trip there. Speak with Denise Rohm, she is great.

I'm considering the Hamlet WindWatch, but I'm concerned about the L-shaped room. They said that they put up a divider during the cocktail hour, but remove the divider during the reception which would leave the area with small cocktail tables open for guests to enjoy during the reception. Can anyone tell me if guests tend to congregate in that area (ie: away from the dance floor)?
Thanks!

I am looking at the Hamlet for next Sept any advice on it. What extras do you need when having your wedding there. How is the pricing?

I don't think you need any extras other than the usual: flowers, band/DJ, photographer...

the pricing is very reasonable. We looked at approx. 7-8 places and they were the most reasonable. We picked it because: only one wedding at a time, the windows, the view, hotels very close by, most bang for your buck, Denise was so nice to deal with, etc.

Are any past HWW brides willing to post pics of their cocktail hour room or reception room?

THANK YOU!

We had about 120 ppl...it was a very comfortable fit.

As for people congretating - people flowed around the place...we booked the restaurant for CH as well and that was nice.

I think if you have a good band or DJ, I whouldn't worry about people drifting. People like to be where the party is. ;)

We are getting married at the Hamlet and I think we might have close to 200 people. I was worried that it might be tight but I figure I will keep the wall open so people can go smoke on the balcony and not have to leave the 'room' and also I can put the older guests aroun the L shape part so they don't have to be right on top of the band..I love the Hamlet!!!!

Hi Hamlet Windwatch brides! Did you have a food-tasting BEFORE you booked your wedding? And, how is the food?

divabride Posted:

Re: hamlet windwatch brides (im new at this)

I didnt have a 'tasting' per say, but you can always choose to dine at the seasons grill.

We did ours a month and a half or so before the wedding. We did eat at the grill when we booked it to sample it. The food is delicious!
