I'm wondering if anyone could help. For our wedding, the shuttle will bring guests and pick them up, but the pickup is earlier than we would want (plus we are having an after hours party at Giorgio's). Has anyone inquired whether they will do more runs (even if it means paying for them)?

Are you going to have 10 or more rooms book. Because inorder to evenhave the shuttle you need at least 10 rooms book.
I tried dealing with Jennifer at the Hampton Inn and to be quick frank she was non-responsive and unprofessional. She never called back when we left messages, I had to go in person to get a contract when she was supposed to mail it to our home.
I thought they were quite pricey too. It was 139 + taxes per night.
I ended up having my guests stay elsewhere.

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
Thanks for the helpful info. We are going to have alot more then 10 rooms I suppose. Family is coming from PA and we have 20 people in our wedding party. I am thinking that we will have 4o rooms or so booked. That is why I am nervous about transportation. If not Hampton inn, who did you use and who did you use for transportation to and from the hotel?

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
I used the Hampton Inn and found the manager Jennifer to be very professional and friendly. She did things when she said she would.
Anyways, they only allow you the one shuttle from the hotel to reception and back. 1 run each way is all they include. Call Jennifer and ask her if they would do more and if not, how much would they charge you. If she doesn't call you back, CALL HER!!
The hampton inn is a beautiful, new hotel. They have complimentary breakfast for your guest and have snacks and coffee in the lounge all day long.

I had the same problem, called and called and no response from her.
I finally got threw to her and I didn't have 10 rooms booked so I had to have a shuttle from some other company they use but it cost me only $90.00. We only needed one pick up from Giorgio's back to the Hampton Inn, so I can't help you there.

I am glad you had a good experience with her.
I think it is very unprofessional not to call you back after leaving a message a week for 4 weeks, then apologizing and telling you that the contract will be mailed out ASAP, then never receive it. It wasn't like I had all the free time in the world to track down the contract she never mailed or go to the hotel to get the contract in person.
I just think if you are asking your guests to pay 139 a night plus tax to spend on a hotel on North Ocean Avenue, they should be responsive.

Hmmmm. I've been trying to get in touch with her also and no response. Any other suggestions for hotels in the area? I think there is a Holiday Inn on 347? Anyone know?

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
I called the Radisson....supposedly it is right next door. I left a message for Linda. They both get a pass this week since many people are off, but we will see what happens next week. For those interested her number is 631-758-2900. Thank you all for the post thus far and I will let you know how it goes!!!

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
Well the Courtyard by Marriott is right off the LIE in Ronkonkoma that address is 5000 Express Drive South.
There are two Holiday Inns one in Ronkonkoma at 3845 Vets Memorial Highway and another one at 3131 Nesconset Highway, Centereach.
I dont think it will be more than 45 minutes.
Since Giorgios you take Exit 71 North.

The address for Giorgios is:
100 Fox Hill Drive Baiting Hollow, NY (631) 727-6076 Fax (631) 369-8705
45 minutes might be too long of a ride....most people will then wind up driving and not staying at the hotel.....but, I will inquire about what they offer, etc. Thanks!!

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
Hi again,
Yeah I think you want to much much closer than all the hotels mentioned so far.
The only other place I find is the Best Western 631-369-8705 .. not sure if you looked into them or if they have a shuttle.
I found some quaint B&Bs but I doubt they have a shuttle.
Hope this helps!

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
I wanted to look into that one too!! However, I have heard a few people that told me to stay away from their. The conditions there I hear are horrendous. Things are dirty, including the clientle if you know what I mean......thats what I heard. I haven't seen it for myself. Otherwise that would have been perfect....
As for the B&B's that too would have been perfect, but we need about 40 rooms!! I really don't feel like having everybody in different places and worrying about transportation. I have enough problems. What I might do is list alternates to a hotel for those who want something closer and would like a B&B..........thanks for helping me think of that!!

Re: Hampton Inn Brookhaven) Shuttle Question
Call the hotel and ask what their AAA rate is for the date you want?
Compare that number to are they quoting you for one room for the group block?
I am sure they can work around the shuttle issue if you pressed it. After all 40 rooms is a lot. I doubt that hotel has more than 170 rooms. (I used to work in a hotel through college. Does it show?)
