Is anyone having or had their bachelorette in the Hamptons over a weekend?? I would love to do this but all of my girls are from CT and don't know much about the Hamptons. Is it even possible to rent a house for a weekend? If so, any idea of the cost? I've looked into it a little but am only finding summer or monthly rentals.
Are there any reasonable hotels in any of the Hamptons? I spend a lot of time in Westhampton (FIL's have a condo there) but dont know much about any other Hamptons areas.
TIA!

Re: Hamptons Bachelorette???
I grew up out there so I have some experience - when do you want to have the party? If it is off-season (before Memorial Day/after Labor Day) you can definitely rent a house for the weekend. During the summer it may be possible for houses that were not rented for the season, but it will most liklely be pricey. Check out the Southampton Inn - it is walking distance to town which is nice and you are near a lot of the clubs. There is also a good hotel in Sag Harbor, but I can't remember the name of it. It is located next door to the old Roccos.
Good luck!

My FIL's condo sleeps about 6 (it is very tiny) and there is going to be close to 20 of us.

Re: Hamptons Bachelorette???
My wedding is 9/9 so probably sometime in July or August. I realize its going to be pricey though. We're all pretty close and will sleep 3 or 4 people in a bed or just crash on the floor so we don't need something huge.
Thanks for all your info!

The southampton inn is a good choice in southampton... its walking distance to town, and a short drive to most clubs including the Tavern (saw leonardo there last summer), Cain at Cabana (the 'it' club last summer). East Hampton has the Star room (always popular, and always a big line).
The hotel someone mentioned in Sag Harbor is the 'American Hotel' and a bit pricey depending on your budget. Good restaurant though.
Another more affordable option, there are 2 Holiday inn's in Riverhead. Its just west of the hamptons, but gives you the option to vinyard-hop in the day and club hop at night.

There is another hotel/townhouse type place in Sag Harbor - not American Hotel, that place is too stuffy for a bachelorette party. If I remember the name I'll let you know.

It is Baron's Cove Inn (unless it has changed names recently). I would suggest Montauk if you want a beachy bachelorette and check our some places on the ocean (Panoramic, Gurneys). In season you will prob. have to rent a place for the whole week. If you want to go to clubs then stay in Hampton Bays. There is a lot more night life there and you will also be by the ocean. I live in East Hampton so FM me if you have any more specific questions (im not good on hotels though!)

I'm from Montauk so feel free to ask whatever questions you have. Every weekend in Montauk in the summer... there are always tons of girls who come out for bachelorette parties. I could definitely tell you where to go in montauk (bars: Oyster Pond, The Point, Lakeside, etc). Gurneys is very nice to stay at, but also very expensive and in the summer time in montauk, most hotels have a 3 night minimum. I would check into the Montauk Manor or the Panoramic though. There's quite a few so let me know if you need more suggestions. Good luck!

Re: Hamptons Bachelorette???
I went to Montauk last summer for a bachelorette party and we had a blast! We stayed at the Ocean Beach resort, which was great. It had an indoor pool (which is good in case it rained, but it didn't thank God). Beach during the day, nice dinner, and partying at night. The Point was a lot of fun. You can also light a bonfire on the beach which would be so much fun.

I am from Sag Harbor, and The hotels they are sorta affordable are Barons Cove Inn (A Vendor on this site) and Sag Harbor Inn. They are right next to each other in Sag Harbor,
IF you are interested in a weekend rental, i would suggest checking craigslist, as I saw a lot on there.
In Sag Harbor, you can go to la Superica (a Great Bar), or Cigar Bar, Murfs(its a local place), The Corner bar, B Smiths, etc....they are all within walking distance to the hotels.
