I think most computer calligraphy looks just fine. However, my invites couldn't go through a printer and had to be done by hand. I was blown away by how beautiful and elegant it was.
I wish I could recommend the guy that did it, but he is in Florida.

Computer calligraphy because I have seen hand calligraphy and it's a tiny bit shakey looking. It takes an extremely steady hand or it won't come out right.

I LOVE hand caligraphy, but it is an expense that I don't mind cutting so we will be using he computer.

If you can spend the money on it, hand calligraphy is gorgeous. But, to me, it's an envelope - I can't see wasting all that money on an envelope. So, computer calligraphy for me.

september2004 - I LOVE that font!! What is it? That's as close to hand that I've seen

I think that if want the hand calligraphy, then you should pay for someone to do it. But if you want to do the computer, then you should do yourself (if possible) and save the money.

BTY I am doing it on the computer myself (envelopes only). I did them for my e-party invites (invites and envelopes) and they came out really nice, a couple people asked me where I got them

You can't go wrong with either...however we did hand calligraphy and couldn't have been happier with it. We also got many compliments...something we thought people may not even notice!

I agree, you can't go wrong with either, but it just depends on how much you want to spend, and how much time you have. Free vs Expensive. Time vs Security. I did it in the computer, and I couldn't be happier (that I saved the $$$).

What is the difference between 'computer calligraphy' and me printing them out on my printer at home?
