i really didn't want to have to waste time doing this but i sent one of my invitations to my grandparents in florida and the first thing my grandmother says is 'it's nice but there's a big crease in the envelope and the invitation' ...i obviously didn't send it out like that so what happened? the invites are nothing crazy size-wise they are 5X8 1/2... does the post office put them through a machine that massacres them??i have to send a few int'l too, this stinks!

Re: hand cancelling?
i was really worried about this too but mine came out fine....you can ask them to hand cancel them but they are still going to be fed through a machine regardless...is there any buckle or anything on them?

Re: hand cancelling?
wow so maybe i shouldn't even bother...there's no buckle or anything on them, not even a ribbon! i don't understand what happened, i'll have to send another 'test' out to someone and see what happens, maybe it was just a fluke...

Re: hand cancelling?
it could have been the post office in Florida
who knows...honestly its only paper- as long as they know where to go and the actual invite wasn't ruined then its really not that big of a deal- THATS JMO though....and I panicked a little too

Re: hand cancelling?
no of course in the scheme of things it's minor, hopefully it was the post office in florida...just wanted to see if this happened to anyone else or if it's worth it for me to do this hand canceling thing at the post office which i hate going to for anything!
