hand cancelling at post office.

hand cancelling at post office.

I just mailed my etsy sample to myself to see how if the bow will survive the trip!

So, I was told that all mail goes through 2 sorting machines before it reaches its destination. You can request to hand cancel, but the post office will charge $.05 per invite (After 50). The envelope will still go through 1 machine instead of 2. I am not sure how realistic this is though? will they really hand cancel all of them? how do I know if they really do it???

anyway, let's see if the invitation survives the trip

i hate how every single post office gives a different story.

just ask to hand cancel yourself. end of story.

I've never seen the post office charge for hand cancelling. But for some reason if they do, I would bring them in batches of 50. Like 50 one day and 50 the next etc. because every penny counts when your saving to a wedding! Plus in smaller batches I feel like there more likely to do 50 vs. 200.... if that makes sence

The nice post-office man hand cancelled my e-party invites in front of me free of charge. i went to the big post office in the city on 54th and 3rd.
