Do they still do this? Post Office told FH they don't do it anymore (and since I wasn't at my desk and he was annoyed he waited for 45 minutes, he just gave them the invitations).
Our invitations are flat and simple, they should be ok, right?

I know!!! Since FH doesn't have as much LIWeddings knowledge, he just believed them. He's a bit ticked he waited for 45 minutes and he could've put them in a slot!

Thanks! I needed some resassurance. I think when they saw there were a couple of boxes with a man they figured it was worth a try!

if they are flat i wouldn't worry about it, i think it depends on the post office, some are more willing to help you out than others, thats why i went out of my way to howard beach and hand cancelled them myself,

I went yesterday to the one in Port Jeff Station and did it there. They were very nice. I don't know how good of a job I did, but there done

yup! they should be fine! even if you hand cancel invites, they still have to go through all the sorting machines anyway- so there would still be a chance for something to happen to them.... just so annoying that they lied about it! good luck with the RSVPS!

We had ours hand cancelled. They should be fine though, I wouldn't worry about it. Especially if they are flat.

They've arrived ok for the most part but, the direction cards smudged a little on the inserts (not on the invitation). It's frustrating because it took so long to put them together.
