Hand Cancelling STDs??

Ok- I am addressing my STD's now.. and I was wondering- is it worth it to go to the post office and have my STD's hand cancelled so the envelopes don't get all yucky??

Is it worth it, or just a pain? Let me also say- I live and work in the city and getting to the Post Office is not the most convenient.

Ok-- you know how when you get mail- it has all these marks on it- from the post office? Like those squiggly lines?? Anyway- that is done through a machine, and can sometimes get the envelopes dirty, etc.

Generally people bring their wedding invites to the post office- and have them hand cancelled- same process, but is done by hand, rather than machine. This keeps the envelopes in a more 'pristine' condition- and they get delivered to your recipients in looking more like when they left your hands.

I am just wondering if it is worth the hassle for my STD's.. My ivory envelopes just look so nice
