Hand Stamping for Invitations

Did anyone get their invitations hand stamped at the post office and if so, did they charge you extra money for doing such? MANY THANKS!!

I haven't yet (obviously) however....
I def plan to. yes they charge more (don't know how much) but i sent out my STD's and got one sent back to me (wrong zip code).

The ink transferred onto the top of the card due to the machine and the paper that was mounted on cardstock shifted in the machine as well.

These were DIY (as are my invites) so that is prob why this happened but I was so mad. i don't want my invites to do the same.

I did that. You just bring them to the post office and ask them to hand cancel them. No charge.

hand-stamp meaning applying the postage by hand, or hand-stamp meaning hand-cancelling them (with the stamper) instead of running them through a machine?
