we are not ttc quite yet, but i'm wondering how you ladies handled all of the bloodwork. i have minor (and sometimes more than minor!) anxiety attacks (i faint sometimes- ever since i was a kid) when i have bloodwork done and i'm not sure how i'll deal with all of it! it certainly won't deter me from ttc next year, but i'm not looking forward to the needles! are there any other wimps out there like me??

Re: handling the bloodwork
ME! I have serious anxiety/panic attacks when I see blood or needles... so bad that I would pass out and go into small convulsions from all the stress! About 10 years ago, my Dr. refused to take blood from me because I freak out so much and would send me to the hospital for bloodwork! But, now I'm pregnant, and I went through a misccarriage right before this pregnancy, so I went through bloodwork galore. I don't know, for some reason, the importance of the baby took over and I didn't freak out as much... I also got more used to it as they took blood every week. I always tell the nurses I have a problem with it, so they give me a private room, let me lie down, and they talk to me the whole time to distract me. Now, everytime I go to the Dr., I don't even have to say anything... they all know.

ITA!
I don't know if this makes sense...but because of the reasons of the blood tests...it changes EVERYTHING!
